About the Artists:
Austin Vorwith is a local photographer who specializes in 35mm surf photography. After being diagnosed with a rare form of skin cancer on his head, he decided to take his hobby more seriously, curating art shows and paid gigs.
His art is meant to give the perspective of a surfer pursuing waves across the world, pushing past the industry stereotypes of perfect waves and cold beers. Although this is a part of the journey, it’s not the only part that is worthy of a good story. The people you meet, the struggles of not only being on foreign land but sometimes, not catching waves at all can be just as rewarding.

Miguel Gonzalez is a local musician born and raised in North County San Diego. Miguel started playing alto saxophone in the fifth grade. His passion for music flourished over the years and he went on to learn guitar, bass, piano, and music production.
At the age of 25, Miguel came up with the idea to unify the art scene in North County. Anmi was born as way to showcase local talents, friends, and family in an area where there was so much art but no medium to display it. Miguel and one of his childhood friends, Austin Vorwith, came together and organized a model to promote the arts in North County.
About the Art Show: Anmi.us is a multidisciplinary art show. Since anmi started over a year ago the mission has been to highlight artists within our community. Anmi is a rotating collective of photographers, musicians, artists, and djs that Miguel Gonzalez and austin Vorwith hand select for each event.
