Exhibition Description:

Have you ever experienced a Superbloom? It is one of the most amazing things you can be a part of; however it is rare, divine, and the timing must be right. Last spring California experienced a Superbloom. During this time, my husband and I took the opportunity to embark on a spectacular camping trip along the Pacific Coast Highway. For a month, we disconnected from our everyday lives and soaked in all of the inspiration that the coast had to offer.

The trip had me thinking. Even though Superblooms are really rare, each year the flowers still manage to bloom but in smaller quantities. It’s sort of like people. We all have small blooms here and there, but it is rare we experience those core moments; those “Superblooms” of our lives.

I think sometimes we all want more “Superblooms” than we normally encounter in life. However, the important thing is to embrace the ones that we are offered and trust that the universe has a plan for us. The point is, as long as you are moving forward, planting the right seeds and staying on your own path, you will be rewarded when the timing is right. Individually, nature will take its course and allow us to “bloom” and “Superbloom” when the time is right.

In this exhibition, you will experience the inspiration and positive impact that I felt on my trip. I hope to uplift you and build your confidence in knowing you are on the right path and that your time will come, too.

About Nicole

While growing up in Central New Jersey, Nicole’s love for the ocean has driven her style and subject of artwork. She earned a degree in Art Education at The College of New Jersey in 2017. While teaching for four years out of college, she used her summers to invest herself into her personal art practice. In 2021, while living in Key West, Florida, Nicole decided to give up teaching for good and fully immerse herself into her work. By 2022, Nicole became a part of her first fine art gallery in Key West. She also began developing her muralist skills locally and out of state.

Being a military spouse, Nicole finds herself moving around the country every few years. In June of 2022, Nicole and her husband moved to San Diego, California. During her time there, she has refined her surfboard art practice and put on multiple exhibitions. She developed a unique style for her boards that has been described as feminine and spiritual. In this time, she traveled and completed many large murals throughout the country.
